Living in bangalore for the past 2 years has taught me so much. Today only i got to know about project utkarsh a real bold and honest initiative by two amateur entrepreneurs who felt the need to take up the cause of reviving karnataka's dying folk art, they recognised two main groups one from bellary and other from shimoga and then utakarsh was born, a project to ensure maximam profit for tribal artisans.yet to be regesterd utkarsh provides much needed platform for the tribal artsans to sell their product without involving any middleman.
So this is Utkarsh an effort for the artisans who deserve the most for their art and gets the least. Being born and brought up in Jharkhand i have grown seeing the beautiful handicraft of the tribals ,there is so much involved in one single piece every single piece is crafted with so much passion and endeavor that every piece crafted by them is a masterpiece in itself with all the skills and entact.
I really wish to see some utkarsh in jharkhand also and wish I could be part of any one of the project like this.
